Welcome to Vaabon
Rooted in Heritage. Crafted for the Future.
At Vaabon, we believe that true luxury lies in the stories we preserve and the legacies we build. Operating under Vaabon Yuure Ltd (formerly Jay-Ford Company), our brand is a bridge between Ghanaian cultural tradition and modern, sustainable innovation.
Based in the vibrant heart of Accra, our workshop is dedicated to the art of upcycling. We transform high-quality fabrics into thoughtfully designed products and brand experiences that prioritize craftsmanship over mass production. Every piece we create is a testament to generational value designed not just for the now, but to carry meaning far into the future.
Our Story
I’m Jemimah, founder of Vaabon Yuure Ltd. My story began during my university days in Kumasi, Ghana. Living in a hostel next to several seamstress shops, my roommate and I suffered from the toxic smoke produced by the seamstresses burning their daily fabric waste. Tired of waking up with sore throats, we took matters into our own hands and asked them to let us collect their discarded fabric scraps instead.
Inspired by my final-year project crafting African print landscape art, I started sewing these collected waste fabrics together to cover my notebooks. The unique designs immediately caught people's eye, quickly turning an eco-friendly experiment into a thriving commercial venture. Within a year, Vaabon Crafts was born. Over the years, we expanded operations to Accra, scaling up to creating notebooks for large corporate institutions, general branding and printing services, book publishing, and upcycling our own leftover scraps.
By choosing Vaabon Crafts, you are doing more than just purchasing beautifully handcrafted notebooks, you are choosing sustainability, cultural pride, and deliberate craftsmanship. Purchase from us today to bring elegance and purpose to your stationery and corporate gifting, and join us in building a greener, more sustainable future together.
